SEEK THE LORD

Always, again I say, always seek the Lord before make decisions.  How many accounts in the Bible of people who failed because they did not ask God first.

1 Chroicles 13  King David in his excitement to bring the Ark home decided to "just do it".  And so Uzza died when he reached out to steady the Ark when he thought it would fall. 

God wanted the Ark brought to Jerusalem, but he wanted it done in reverence and holiness.  The excitedment and hullabaloo was not the problem.  It was that the people were more excited for the act than the Who was coming home.  It's okay to get excited about God, just don't lose perspective that it is about Him.

1 Chronicles 15 God gives David specific directions on bringing back the Ark, as far as who was to carry it and what other duties were to be performed.

It's not about us.  It's about God.  Ask Him.  Then He will give you the desires of your heart.  His way.   The best way.
