THIS IS YOUR LIFE!!!!!!

Psalm 24  paraphrased by me......

Who can stand before the Lord?   He who has clean hands, pure heart, and does not go after idols or swear that what is not of God is actually truth.

God made the earth.  There is not one jot or tittle in it that he is not aware of, whether it be as He made it or how it has been twisted by the evil in the earth.

When we ask Jesus to come into our life and save us, do we consider our life?  Or, do we try to keep Him in a box labeled "spiritual life".  When He comes to live in us and we in Him, He wants all of us.  He wants our "family life", "business life", "hobbies life", even our daily "menial tasks life".  He becomes our everything that we will let Him.

vs 10 Who is he, this King of glory?  The Lord Almighty - he is the King of glory.

WOW, LET'S TALK ABOUT DADDY GOD

When my kids were at home, many things happened that we would rather not have happened.  As in all families, things get broken from dishes, cars, furniture, and yes even rules.  Usually they were remorse without much punishment.  So, I would immediately start trying to figure out how to keep this from happening again.

I always thought that this was a fault of mine, that I was not being tough enough with them.  Today I was reading Psalm 19.  The psalmist asked the Lord to forgive him of his hidden faults.  I got the strong impression, that God being the goodness that He is, wants to forgive me and show me a better way to live my life without sin.

His ways, His words, are pure as gold and sweeter than honey.  How can I resist this.  When I follow His irrisistable word, those hidden sins will melt away into my forgotten past.  The goodness of God leads men to repentance.

Thank you for loving me, Father.  I love you.

IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD - WWJD

Psalm 15

1 Lord, who shall dwell in your sanctuary? (who can receive your protection here on earth?)
Who may live on your holy hill? (who shall live with you thru eternity?)

2 He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth, 3 and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his follow man,  4 who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the Lord, who keeps his oath even when it hurts,  5 who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.

He who does these things will never be shaken.

What would Jesus do?  More better -- how do we expect Jesus to treat us?  Isn't that how we are to treat others?  our family, our friends, our neighbors,......., church family, work family,.....?????

MATTHEW 22:37-40  Jesus said, " ' Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'  38 This is the first and greatest commandment.  39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  40  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

As we are imperfect people living in an imperfect society, this sounds so difficult to accomplish.  But, with Jesus as our Saviour, and his Word as our guide, and the Holy Spirit as our Helper, we can do all things in His strength.

ROMANS 10:9  That if you confess with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart and God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Dear God,
I believe that Jesus died for my sins, and that you raised Him from the dead.  I now declare that He is my Lord.   Amen.
